The new rewards program from Dollar General allows shoppers to earn 1 point for every item from a participating products list purchased at Dollar General locations. It is a great way to earn points towards a free gift card by buying items at Dollar General that were likely on your shopping list anyways. A lot of the items are brand name essentials such as Huggies wipes, Glad Freezer bags, Ragu sauces and brand name cereals. If you are buying these product somewhere else it may make sense to make the switch to Dollar General.
