Why Are The Cards Being Sold Below Face Value?
Many people are given gift cards to stores they do not even shop at. Since gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash sellers will list their card on Giftah so the card is not wasted. The buyer gets a great deal and the seller is able to receive some cash instead of letting the card expire.
How Do I Sell A Card?
After you have signed up for an account, just click on the sell button in the top right hand corner of the site. You will be presented with two options: direct sell and auction format. By opting for the direct sell option Giftah will purchase the card directly from you at a pre-determined rate. This is the quickest, safest and most hassle free option.
If you select the auction option you will place your gift card in an online auction which will receive bids from interested users. The gift card will go to the highest bidder at the end of the auction.
How Much Does It Cost To List A Card?
There is no fee for the direct sell option. You are also not charged a fee for listing the gift card as an auction. You are only charged once your gift card sells and you receive a payment from the winning bidder. The fee is 10% of the winning bid plus 30 cents (in whichever currency the auction is in).
How Do I Buy A Card?
Search the name of the store you would like a gift card for. If you are not sure what store you would like to purchase a card for click the buy button in the top right hand corner of the site. This will display all the cards currently available. Select a card you would like to bid on, review the card's information, and place a bid. Keep checking the auction to see if you win.
What Happens When I Win An Auction?
You will be notified via e-mail if you are the winner of the gift card you bid on. You may then proceed to the link found in the e-mail to purchase the card on Giftah.
How do I purchase a gift card?
Simply go to your account page and click Add Funds. Once you have added enough funds to cover the amount of the gift card you are trying to purchase, go to the auction's page and click Purchase inside the blue box.
When can I withdraw the funds from my gift card?
The buyer has up to 21 days to leave feedback for the auction. Once the buyer has left feedback you are free withdraw the funds. If the buyer does not leave feedback within the 21 days then your fund will become available the day after the 21 have passed.
What do i do if I receive a card that is not as described?
Please e-mail us right away by using the contact page and provide us much information as possible (eg. your username and the gift card in question).
How do i know if a card is guaranteed to have the value stated?
Look for the "Verified by Giftah" signature just below the card. Cards holding this signature are guaranteed to have the value stated by the seller.
